Sleep Walk for Homelessness

On 3rd December the Rockwell team took part in this year’s annual “Sleep-Walk” for Shelter, raising £2000 to help their fight tackling homelessness.

During a chilly but clear winter evening the sleep walk took a winding 10km route around the capital, taking in all the major landmarks. Starting and finishing at Waterloo, the route wound its way past Parliament, Covent Garden and St Pauls to Tower Bridge before returning along the South Bank – taking 3 hours to complete.

Shelter is fantastic charity and their efforts are for a very worthy cause. Each year Shelter help millions of people struggling with poor housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services. With an ever-growing number of people sleeping rough since 2010 (4,000 on any given night) and an estimated 6 million households at risk of losing their homes.
